I always thought plant propagation is from seeds or from stem cuttings.
I never knew propagation can take place from leaves also
So, here is propagation from a leaf……. natures unique ways of greening our land seen at its best. In this case with Bryophyllum calycinum commonly known as panphutti/ ghaamari
A profusion of miniature plantlets that form on the margins of its leaves. By the way, this plant is also known as known as the Air Plant, Life Plant, Miracle Leaf, Goethe Plant.
Goethe plant….(hehe) i like the name !
So just collect a few leaves, place them where ever one wants a new Goethe plant, just put a thin layer of soil & voila : in a weeks time a cluster of Goethe plants are established.
Very unique indeed…. now can’t wait for January to see its beautiful flowers in bloom !
