The following are some of the trees which have been planted…..

1. Indian Elm Tree (Holoptelea integrifolia). vavala

2. Fragrant Manjack  or Indian Cherry (Cordia dichotoma). Bhokar or Gunda

3. Coral Bead Vine or Rosary Pea (Abrus precatorius). Goonj or patang (The beads are full of childhood memories !!)

4. Indian Kino Tree (Pterocarpus marsupium) Asana or Bija tree. After i searched & studied the Bija Tree, i realised there are many of these trees on the land.

5. Kashmir Tree (Gmelina arborea) Shivan or Gamhar

6. Button Tree (Anogeissus acuminata) Dhavad

7.  Also a variation the Button Tree (Anogeissus latifolia)

8. Ghanera (Nothapodytes nimmoiana) (Narkasa). These days the tree is in great demand almost on par with sandalwood !!

9. Tamarind (Tamarindus indica) Chinch or imli

10. Wood Apple Tree (Limonia acidissima) Kavat

11. Ashoka Tree or the Sorrowless Tree of India (Saraca Asoca) Sita Ashok

12. Bael Tree (Aegle marmelos)

13. Avla (Emblica officianalis) Goose berry

14. Kanchan (Bauhina foveolata)

15. Shikakai (Reetha) Acacia concinna

16. Arjuna (Terminalia cuneata)

17. Mahua (Madhuca longifolia)

18. Red silk Cotton Tree ( Simal) Bombax

19. Sarpagandha (Ravolfia serpentina)

20. Coffee (Coffea arabica)

21. Champa (Magnolia champaca)

22. Banyan Tree (Vad) Ficus benghalensis

And a few others with names like Brahmanand, Murchud & Amritha etc. Some of which i cannot remember local names.

Will have to keeping looking out for more local species, so that the land will become more & more diverse !!
